So today's Rasmussen polling data shows that only 30% of voters strongly approve of what President Obama is doing while 38% strongly disapprove. This puts his Presidential approval rating at -8% the lowest it has been since he took office. I think this method of determining a president's rating is a very good method because people who either really love you or really hate you are going to be the ones who are really influential in an election. They are going to be the ones campaigning for and against you, they will be the ones to share their beliefs with friends and family, and they will be the ones to donate to election or re-election campaigns. Alot of other key polling data is pointing to the fact that people are not trusting either party which is great in my opinion because they are both corrupt. People are also starting to realize that this economy now belongs Obama and they are starting to blame him for the current economic problems. Let's just hope that people continue to wake up and realize that Washington is the cause of not the solution to most of our problems.

The thing that worries me is, that other 20 or 30 something percent who are uneducated voters...who might just vote based on party affiliation, gender, race or some other reason that should hold no weight when deciding an election. Those people can't be campaigned to or have the ability to form there own opinions...those people will be the ones that decide the election, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteThen it is our job as citizens to educate them. No body ever said it was going to be easy to keep this country strong. And luckily we have an opportunity next year to make some big changes in Congress during the midterm election where many of those undeducated, uninformed voters don't show up.
ReplyDeleteThose of us who are educated need to take a more active role in local politics - that's where it all starts. The next election we get to vote all of them out!! Go to the following link and take part - each of us can make a difference!!

I absolutely agree with you about change needing to be started at the local level. Thanks for the link I will be checking it out when I get a little free time.
