Review of Glenn Beck's "Common Sense"

Well I had some free time over the weekend and finished Glenn Beck's "Common Sense: The Case Against an Out of Control Government". My first thoughts are that Beck did a good job of painting both the Republicans and the Democrats as being at fault for the current situation. He is certainly not a homer for the Republican party and this is one of the things I like about him. He asks us to put aside party label battles and be Americans. He points out that politicians want us fighting amongst each other because it keeps us distracted from the shredding of the U.S. Constitution that is going on in Washington today. Glenn also focuses a large portion of this book on the Progressive movement and how that is the true enemy. The book was only about 100 pages long and I didn't go as in depth as I would have liked. He covers alot of things that if you are a regular follower of his radio and TV show you have heard before, but it is nice to have every thing together you can use as a reference manual. I do think the book does a great job of introducing people to what exactly our government is doing and why they are doing it. I think it is great for stimulating discussion amongst friends who are not very politically in tune and I plan on buying a couple of copies to pass on to others to read and pass on. New book I am reading Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny".

Glenn Beck's Commen Sense

I will be picking this book up today and will post a review of what I think about it soon. I am a big fan of Glenn and tune into his radio and television show almost every day. I feel that he and I are on the same page when it comes to most issues and even when we don't agree I respect his beliefs. He seems to be really tuned into something that appeals to alot of disenfranchised Americans. I have read some of his others book and enjoyed them very much so hopefully this one is no different.
